G5 Bites The Dust
Wednesday, August 5, 2009
An unexpected hiccup happened today when the G5 I've owned for 5 years decided it didn't want to turn on any longer than a millisecond. So it's now at the shop, and it's absence is putting a dent into my ability to get images prepared for online viewing.
In an effort to be a bit productive today I've caught up on some scanning on the old set up. Of course, then I'll be behind in getting them spotted and adjusted, but at least I'll have some new stuff to post up in the near future.
I'm still behind in the development of large format film and want to get some of it done as well. But it's been too blasted hot here to get it done. Film has an aversion to 85 degree temperatures.
So here's an image from Japan. I'm not sure if I like it very much, if it conveys anything or not and whether it's even a remotely decent image. But I've been going back through old negatives and looking at where I at least attempted to include human beings in the image. They are too few and far between.
I'm off to Annenberg tomorrow to hear David Burnett speak. I'm looking forward to it.
